Nissan Concepts and Debuts Shine at the 2017 New York International Auto Show
The 2017 New York International Auto Show was as thrilling as ever, and it’s safe to say Nissan was the star. Featuring a race-ready 370Z, an homage to Star Wars with a partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd., a playful dog-centric Rogue, and much more, Nissan put on an unforgettable display. Advantage Nissan has the details below!
“Rogue Dogue” Dog-Friendly Concept SUV
Likely the most lovable project on display, the “Rogue Dogue” concept turned a 2017 Nissan Rogue SL into a dog-focused SUV. This playful concept featured easy-clean upholstery, a slide-away ramp, convenient pass-through passageway, and rear-facing cameras in the side mirrors—all for pet parent convenience! For the pups, Nissan equipped the SL with built-in food and water dishes, 360-degree dog shower and dog-drying system, heated air vents, and much more!
Star Wars Meets the Popular Rogue
Nissan and Lucasfilm Ltd. linked up to create the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition mode—the first Star Wars branded vehicle! The new Rogue model was reminiscent of the Rebel Alliance with the appropriate logos and orange and white graphics. It also boasted an astromech droid, blasters, and thrusters. Undoubtedly a fan favorite this year!
GT-R Track Edition
Amplifying performance, the new GT-R Track Edition received some notable upgrades inside and out. Relying on the same capable 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, this new model upped the ante with a standard titanium exhaust, reinforced hood, carbon fiber wing, NISMO wheels, and more! This beast is expected in late summer of 2017, and will have a starting MSRP of $127,990, according to Nissan.
370Z Heritage Edition
Classic, athletic, and affordable, the 370Z has always been a fan favorite. Cue the excitement when Nissan unveiled the 2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition, expected to go on sale later this spring. This model will be offered in Magnetic Black and Chicane yellow, and will feature updated headlights, chrome door handles, and a 3.7-liter V6 engine with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or optional 7-speed automatic.
